LMX2594: SYSREF voltage logic levels

Part Number: LMX2594

Hello,

Regarding the LMX2594 device,

What are the voltage logic levels of the SYSREF output?

The datasheet mentions at section 7.3.14.2.2 (page 37):

"The SYSREF output comes in differential format through RFoutB. This will have a minimum voltage of about 2.3 V and a maximum of 3.3 V."

Does it mean that each pin of the differential signal (P,N) swings between 2.3V and 3.3V (2.8V+-0.5V)?

Are there specific values of  Vol_min , Voh_max , vod_min/max?

Thanks!

  • Hello Max,

Let me check to see if I can find some documentation / data that can clarify this. I will provide an update in the next two days.

    Thanks,

    Vibhu

  • Hello Max,

There are no specific values for Vol_min , Voh_max , vod_min/max that we specify on the datasheet.

The 2.3 / 3.3 voltage refers to the DC bias for the voltage. Depending on the power setting the voltage swing changes similar to when using these pins as RF outputs.

The recommendation in the datasheet is to use AC-coupling caps in case the receiver is not able to work with high DC voltages.

    Thanks,

    Vibhu
