TPL5110: MOSFET Recommendations

Part Number: TPL5110

Hi, I'm looking for advice on a good choice of P-channel MOSFET to use in conjunction with the TPL5110. My (somewhat flexible) requirements are:

  • For use as a high-side switch to the rest of my system, triggered by the TPL5110 DRV pin
  • Should be able to pass input voltage from 2.7 - 6 Volts DC
  • Should be able to pass input current up to 1 Amp
  • Should have very low leakage current when switched off by the TPL5110 (lets say less than 100 nano-Amps)
  • Should have an R_dson of 100 milli-Ohms or less (so maximum voltage drop through the MOSFET of about 0.1 VDC).

Are you able to recommend specific part numbers that can meet these requirements and work well in conjunction with the TPL5110? If I'm over-constraining the problem, please advise as to which requirements I should loosen up on to open up the design space.

  • Hi Victor,

Unfortunately, I don't have any specific P-channel MOSFET part numbers to recommend for use with TPL5110.

There are many FETs that should meet your requirements. If you need to relax a requirement, I would begin with R_dson.

    Kind regards,
    Lane
