Does TI offer a simpler clock doubler device, or a simple clock multiplier?
I'm working on a dual-monostable-multivibrator circuit to accomplish this right now ... and am into some of the nuances of Vcc-dependent pulse width and pulse recovery constraints (for the SN74LVC1G123). My requirement is f(IN) = 27Mhz to f(OUT) = 54Mhz.
Thought there may be a simplier approach than two '123's and an OR gate.
Thanks in advance,
TI has the CDCE913 that is a programmable PLL. So you can program it via I2C or programm the EEPROM in order to set the x2 fatcor.
In terms of straight multiplication we have the CDCS503 that multiplies x4 and also it can add SSC if needed. No siimple x2 though.
Hope this helps.
in addition to the two recommended devices, another alternative for a straight 2x multiplication is the CDCF5801A.
