LMC555 low frequency

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMC555

Hi

Our customer going to use LMC555 at 555uHz or lower.

However there is a leakage current (Max 100nA) at DISCHARGE pin.I think this is key point at low frequency since the charge current is very small if the frequency is low. Also the capacitor leakage is key point.

For expamle,

At 555uHz, and Duty=98% (High:98%,Low:2%)

Ra = 5000 [kΩ] (=5MΩ) / Rb =  100 [kΩ] / C  =  500 [μF]

The charge current will be 556nA, This will cause the timing error if the leakage is 100nA at DISCHARGE pin.

How can we calcuate the R/C combination at low frequency? (Do we need to consider some leakage?)
