BQ32002: Question about BQ32002 Vback battery

Hello,

Customer will use 36mAh battery for Vback.

1. Without Vcc, can BQ32002 work more than 4 years with this backup battery?

     Iback = 0.9uA, 36000/0.9 = 40,000hours ==> 4.566 years,  am I right?

2. Is Iback asserted during BQ32002 works with Vcc? or Icc is asserted to Vback?

    A1. This depends on operating conditions. Using the max spec for Iback, we get 36000mAh/1.5uA = 24,000 hrs ==>  2.74 years @ 25 degrees C operating temperature. At a higher operating temperature, Iback will increase.

    Q2. Is Iback asserted during BQ32002 works with Vcc? or Icc is asserted to Vback?

    A2. Yes, there will be Iback current draw when Vcc is supplied. There will also be Icc current draw when Vback is supplied. See Figure 1 and Figure 2 in datasheet Section 6.7.
