TINA/Spice/CDCUN1208LP: Source termination for LVCMOS outputs

Part Number: CDCUN1208LP
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TINA-TI,

Tool/software: TINA-TI or Spice Models

How big should the source termination resistor be for LVCMOS outputs at 3.3V with ERC being medium?

Further to this, the IBIS model does not seem to contain different ERC settings for the pins. Which ERC setting is modelled in the IBIS model and would it be possible to get also the other drive strengths in the model?

Are there any updates planned to the IBIS model?

  • Hi Christoph,
The source termination resistor depends on VDDOx, ERC level, transmission line impedance.
It is good to simulate/debug from 33 Ohm for 3.3V LVCMOS driver.

IBIS model simulation always has some limitations. TI has no plan to update CDCUN1208LP IBIS model recently.
    Thanks.

    Regards,
    Shawn
