Hi,

We're using AFE8518 in a new design, and have two questions;

1. We are not using the CW functionality, so i wonder what is the recommendation for the unused input pins, i.e. CLKx_1, CLKx_16 and CW_*IN*?

2. On AFE8518 EVM, pin D14 and pin G13 (both marked as NC in the data sheet) are connected to decoupling caps. How come? Should we do this as well to ensure proper function?

Thanks in advance.

Mike

  • Mike,

    1. These can all be left floating if the CW function is unused.
    2. Please ignore these caps, these are used for a similar device and are not required or used by the AFE5818.
