I looking for DAC converter for Adjustable output sync per channel.

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DAC38J84, DAC38J82

Hello.

requested DAC spec.

Samplinig rate : over 500MSPS.

Channel # : 2 or 4.

input data : JESD204B or LVDS

Application : analog input signal for QHD display.

Is there a DAC with output sync control?
If you have, please recommend it.

thanks & regards

Downey KIM.

  • Hi Downey KIM,

You may want to look at the DAC38J84 family of 16-bit DACs. Up to 4 channels (Quad) and 2500 MSPS with a JESD204B interface.

    Best Regards,

    Dan
  • HI Dan.

Is DAC38J82 possible to output delay control? i need to control of output delay per chennel.

    thanks & regards

    Downey KIM.
  • Downey,

Can you provide more detail on what you are actually trying to do? The output delay of this DAC is deterministic when using subclass mode 1. This allows all DAC outputs of a device and all outputs from device to device to be synchronized. Is this what you are asking for?

  • HI Jim.
Output signal of DAC is used display input for QHD. so output signal of dac each of channel must exatly same sync. If not, the screen will be displayed abnormally. If output synchronization is not possible for each channel, delay control is used to try to achieve output synchronization.
Isn`t Subclass1 function for synchronization of multiple device? i`m looking for synchroniztion of channel in one device.

    thanks & regards

    Downey KIM.
  • Downey,

Are you saying you have an external SYNC signal that the DAC output needs to match? And if the DAC output does not match it, you want some kind of adjustment that will allow for this? Can you provide a timing diagram to help explain this a little better? Is your application only using 1 device? Are there any digital requirements for this part such as interpolation, mixing, gain/offset correction, ect...?

    Regards,

    Jim
