DAC38J82: DAC38J82 clock input

Hello,

In the datasheet of DAC38J82 it says that the DAC clock input (DACCLK) is a LVPECT type but I have a sinewave clock generator.

Im using the LMX2531LQ2080E to generate a sine wave 2GHz, 4dBm, singel ended clock.

Can I connect the LMX2531 direcctly to the DACCLKP (and DACCLKN to 50 ohm) with the parameters above?

    Yes, the 2 GHz, 4 dBm sinewave will work as a single ended input for the DACCLK on the DAC38J82, but it is recommended that differential signals be used. With the DAC38J82EVM, I used this signal to drive DACCLKP, and tied DACCLKN to a capacitor and ground. Please note that there was not any noticeable difference when DACCLKN was left floating, but I recommend that you place a capacitor to ground.
