  • AD7124-8 have the SinC 3, 4 Filter, ADS124S08 only have the Sin 3 Filter,
    So ADS124S08 noise report less than AD7124-8 ,right?

    Yes, we certainly do have a comparison between ADS124S08 and AD7124-8, but I would prefer not to share it here in the open forum.

    One of the differences between ADS124S08 and AD7124-8 is that it can operate at a 5V analog supply which is often beneficial in a PLC AI Module.

    Regarding the digital filter and respective noise performance. This really depends on the specific mode you operate the ADCs in and what modulator is used in the ADC.
    A SINC4 filter does for example also have implications on the settling time when changing multiplexer channels.

    If better noise performance and a SINC4 filter are required, then we could look at ADS1261 for example.

    Do you have any more details to share about the requirements:
    - How many channels (input terminals of the PLC AI Module) need to be supported?
    - What signals need to be measured (+/-10V, 4-20mA, RTDs, thermocouples, etc.)?
    - In case multiple channels need to be supported, what is the conversion time required per channel (e.g. 100ms per channel)?

    BTW: Is Kai by any chance working on the same application/customer as you are?
