Sorry for the late reply. You can use the excel function =BIN2DEC to convert the 8-bit binary value into the decimal value.

Thanks for your reply... I wanted to know how to convert a binary data on the temp register to actual temp Decimal value though, Does it really work?

In order to convert the data, following information is needed at least. Could you tell me following information on ADS5401?

1. Range, ex) 128~-55C

2.  Resolution, ex) 7bit

3.  Format, ex) Twos-complement format or Unsigned format

Note; fundamentally, datasheet should have such the information as below(here is one example, refer to TMP75 datasheet)

But there is no description about that in ADS5401 datasheet, so I'm asking.
