ADS1247: Calibration Question

Hello,

I am using the ADS1247 for temperature measurements. I am planning to use calibration commands like SYSOCAL, SELFOCAL and SYSGCAL. Per the specsheet, the output data needs to be calculated as

Final Output Data = (Input - OFC[2:0]) X FSC[2:0]/400000h.

My question is:

1. Will the final output data be calculated internally by the ADC and output to Microcontroller OR does the final output data equation (mentioned above) needs to be implemented in the microcontroller

2. Is the Final Output Data in binary 2's complement

    Hello Hemant,

    Thanks for your post and welcome to the forum!

    The output data is calculated internally and the final output data is in binary two's complement.

    The gain is factory trimmed for each different gain settings. Typically we only recommend self offset cal and nothing else.
