DDC232: DDC232/316 input protection

Hi,

We are using a DDC316 and DDC232 with two anti parallel diodes on the input as a protection of the device. In the past we used the PAD1/5/10 devices and switched to a mmbf4117 later on, but onsemi set them to end of life. There is a replacement from Interfet but it is more expensive. Does TI have any recommendation what to use ?

Where are you wanting protection for this device? What pins exactly?

Hi Cameron,

the protection is on the analog input pins of the devices - in1 to in32. On the device those pins are connected to a subd connector and they are connected with a cable to a device to measure proton beams.

Koen,

I would just recommend any of our 3.6V ESD diodes. We do not have any steering diodes as you previously mentioned.

Hi Cameron,

I've taken a look at some of the devices, but do you have more information about the leakage current than what is in the datasheet? They all mention the leakage at 3.6V but i'm interested in the leakage at the operation point of the analog inputs of the DDC. This operation point should be between -0.3V to 0.7V for a DDC232. Since we are measuring in the nA/pA range the leakage should be as low as possible.
