ADS8684: Single ended , differential end sensing of analog signal processing with ADS8684 IC radio frequency noise impact on analog values

Part Number: ADS8684

Single ended , differential end sensing of analog signal processing with ADS8684 IC radio frequency noise impact on analog values nearly its frequency range 167MHZ

  • Hi Rajani,

I'm not sure what your question is. ADS8684 can only support single-ended signal(bipolar and unipolar) and it does not support differential signal. Also, the signal frequency should be limited to be less than 15kHz because of internal LPF.

  • Hi Sir,

    Thank you for response.

I am actually interested to know on Analog current signal sensing pre end of ADC I have kept differential amplifier for signal boost up before feeding to ADC.

like that I have multiple differential amplifiers to process different analog signals , I am sensing low end based.

I have each sensor Output with respect signal return / Gnd, this Ground is common for all Analog sensor, that is only my signal return each & every sensor I have to take SIgnal return wire, or Taking common ground one end of Differential amplifier is better

How is the impact of taking Each sensor signal return wire / Making a common Ground on board

Kindly suggest, Where exactly I will face a problem with the above two conditions

  • Hi,

If your sensor output is differential, you may have to use ADCs which support differential input or use a conditioning circuit for differential ->single-ended conversion then feed the signal to ADCs. ADS8684 can not handle differential signal directly. However, if ADS8684 is preferred by you, a INA instrumentation amplifier may have to be used on each channel before ADC.I can not have a proper recommendation without any information (signal level and type, channels, speed per channel).
