Is it possible to initialize DIX4192 with SPI 8?
How to do this if it possible?
I see fig.17 from datasheet
Hi, Alexandr,
I'm not sure what sure what "SPI 8" means. Can you explain in a little more detail what you're trying to do?

DIX4192EVM-PDK - EVAL MODUL FOR DIX4192in the datasheet for this module is written that it is necessary select SPI 16bit. But the pictures painted in the same SPI 8 bit. Is it possible to use 8-bit SPI to control this chip with a microcontroller?and if possible then tell me how to do it.
and even how to switch modes and I2C fast I2C slow with the microcontroller.
I bought DIX4192EVM-PDKDisc with the programs of the damagedSupport refuses to helpCould you put on the file server software for the DIX4192EVM-PDK?thank you
Sorry for your trouble! let me see if I can locate the necessary files for you.
When you say it was damaged, what do you mean? Was the disk physically broken?
I am not 100% sure, but I suspect the software doesn't work on Win7.
Hello
The disc is damaged when you first removing from the package. The layer-carrying sticks to a packageLayer crumbled from the disk. The disc is not a quality.
Please send the files from the disk to my registration e-mail
Wow! that is amazing. It's not even that old, I'm surprised that it's like that already!
I will post the files when I round them up.

OK, you returned the EVM and asked for a new one. Great! Hopefully that one won't have a bad CDROM in it, too.
The EVM MUST be run in SPI 16 bit mode.
HelloI got a new CD, but the software is not installed correctly.NI VISA 3.2 is not installed. screenshot in attachmentmsiserver up and running properly in Administrator accountMaybe the disk is missing a file?Help please. The project is not progressing.
Alexandr,
Sorry for all your troubles...
This GUI only runs in XP. Are you trying to run it in win7?
You might also try changing your computer's language to English, but I highly doubt that will help.
I tested the install on three computers with XP and one with Win7result is the same everywhereI'll try on a computer where there is no other language than EnglishI think the problem is that the device is determined solely by the unknown
Installation *.Inf does not lead to any changes
Alexandr
I googled this a little bit and found it may be an issue your virus protection blocking the install, thinking it's an attack.

This is an error in the National Instruments library which the GUI uses (it was developed in LabView from NI). Unfortunately, this CD is originally about seven years old, so it is very likely that the GUI will have issues even with XP now if you have SP2, 3 loaded as those didn't exist back then...
if I can find the original LabView files, I will try to recompile them in the latest version of LabView.
In the meanwhile, if you have a way to drive the I2C lines on the daughtercard, that might be a quicker way to get the EVM up and running. Being a hardware guy, I always look for a hardware solution. :)
hellowe try to start dix4192 i2c speed 100 kHzwe do 1) set pin 19 and 21 to 02) set jumper to i2s mode3) set CPM to i2c mode4) reset dix4192, than delay 1 sec5) do start (wait when start end)6) send E0 (address device) 7) send 01 (address register)8) send 3f (data)9) do stop10) try to read (do start)11) send E0 (address device)12) send 01 (address register)13) do repeat start14) send E1 (address device)15) take data16) send noask17) send stopbut DIX4192 dot answer any time. no write no readwhat we do wrong ? what we must to do ?datasheet poor. Hi,
I just bought the DIX4192EVM-PDK, and my CD is also scrap. It looks pretty much like the one shown in the picture above.
Could you please put the CD content on an FTP link ? I can create an FTP site if required...
Thanks.
