Hello.
We are using a DRC PurePath component to compress a very high dynamic range (80db) by 1:8. We cannot use the standard output interpolator DRC as it only compresses 24dB range. The standard interpolator DRC implements hang logic. Would it be possible to implement a DRC module for PurePath with hang logic as well?
Delaying the audio data before the audio derived energy function improves overshot at the time of attack. Just delaying the audio data improves the attack overshot, but adds an overshot at the beginning of decay. The hang logic improves overshot at decay time if the audio is delayed because of attack overshot.
It would help us if the DRC PurePath block allowed for both the hang logic and audio data delay to tame the overshots.
Thanks, Ondra
Hi, Ondra,
Sorry, we have not implemented this as it is outside the normal application usage of these devices.
