I just received a TLV320AIC3254EVM-K and I am trying to use it in my win 7 (home Premium) PC. Unfortunately the CS drivers (V1.2.1) seem not working properly and when I link the USB-Modem Interface to the USB port of the PC, only the led D3 and D7 go on. Moreover I tried to use Pure Path software and it is not possible to download any code as I imagine to card is not correctly recognized.
I discovered long discussion on this matter in the forum but it seems that all new shipped EVM cards should have the correct firmware for working under win 7. Is it so? or do I have to use an XP system and load the firmware V0203 first?
thank you for your help
Antonino
Hi Antonio,
Did you check your switch settings in section 2.2.1 of http://www.ti.com/litv/pdf/slau264?
If D2 is not active this probably means that the USB controller in the motherboard is not booting up. Check that the switches above are correct on the motherboard and jumper W13 on the daughterboard is inserted.
If the above fails, you'll need a Windows XP machine to update the firmware. The instructions for this can be found in the AIC3254 control software (CS) under "Tools > EEPROM Writer".
Let me know if this helps.

thank you for your answer. Indeed SW2 and W13 were right. Then I tried on Windows XP and the system was still not working. So I started to check all the DC voltages and I discovered that SW1 was not properly set (no 1.8V and 3.3V were available). So I changed SW1, enabling both voltages, and the system started to work also on win 7. I can confirm the firmware is the latest one and it is working under Win 7.
Thank you
I'm glad you got it working!
