I'm trying to develop custom coefficients to use in the 3104's first-order high-pas filter. However, I'm not getting the results that I expect (basically, the response of my coefficients are no where near the results I get when I use the default values of Register 12.) Since I'm not a DSP programmer, I'm wondering if there is someone on here that can direct me to how to set up the custom coefficients (I've searched the forums but can't seem to find anything.)

    Hi, Denis,

    The easiest way to do this is to design your desired filter in PPS, and then take the data that generates and use it in your system.

    Hi Don,

    Thanx for the info. I've tried to download PPS but for some reason, after I fill in the request data it takes me back to the PPS home page rather than sending me to the download page. In previous TI requests I've not had a problem. Is there something that I'm missing?

    Hi Denis,

    The easiest way to calculate the 1st order coefficients is to use this filter tool:

    http://www.ti.com/tool/coefficient-calc

    If you choose Butterworth1 it will generate 1st order coefficients, Butterworth2 will generate 2nd order biquads.
