I`m working on a project involving the PCM1804 ADC and this adc got differential inputs. I`ve noticed in datasheet the solution on interfacing the differential input to single ended signal, but its a little bit too much. There is a need to build a small sized and quite cheap adc with 24b resolution.
What will I lose if I connect VIN- to GNDA, and VIN+ to the input signal? What about then with VCOM?
The input signal is a very low voltage noise from gas sensor, but it will be amplified by 500-4000V/V and then connected to the input of ADC. The signal on input of ADC will be about ten`s of mV.
