Hello!

What are the recommended passive components to be connected at the audio inputs / outputs of TLV320AIC33?

On page 46 of "TLV320AIC33EVM and TLV320AIC33EVM-PDK User's Guide" there is a relevant schematic, but I wonder - why input capacitors a so small ( 0.1uF ) and why ouput capacitors ( 47 uf ) are only connected to High Power audio outputs, but not to Line Out outputs?

    Hi, Sergei,

    The recommended component values are used on the EVM.

    Those caps form filters, according to the formula: f=1/2piRC. So, they are designed for various high pass and low pass functionality.

    Thank You for the answer, but it raises more questions:

    1). What are the RC filters You mentioned if there are no resistors in the schematic on page 46 of TLV320AIC33EVM datasheet?

    Maybe You meant TLV320AIC33 internal resistors, but there is no straightforward information in TLV320AIC33 datasheet about its output resistance values.

    2). Оn page 46 of TLV320AIC33EVM datasheet  for Line Out ( LOP and LOM ) outputs it is only possible to make a capless connection.

    Does this mean, that ac-copuled connection is not recommended at all for Line Out ( LOP and LOM ) outputs?

    Hi, Sergei,

    Please read the section of the data sheet titled, "ANALOG FULLY DIFFERENTIAL LINE OUTPUT DRIVERS." It discusses how to use these outputs.
