From the datasheets i can tell that it's a reference voltage, but nowhere this abbreviation is explained.

I would guess it stands for Common-Mode. If you give me a part number, and page reference, I can confirm for you.

It's this codec: TLV320AIC3204"CM" is mentioned on many pages.
Why is it named like that and not as "V_Ref" for example?
