Hi all

Would you mind if we ask TLV320DAC3101.
Our customer will only use the function speaker out of I2S input TLV320DAC3101.
And then, about VOL, our customer will only use Soft-VOL.

<Question1>
Without AVDD and HPVDD, is it possible to use the function speaker out?
We couldn't find the block diagram which related to AVDD and HPVDD.
So, is all of power(including AVDD and HPVDD) required to connect, isn't it?

<Question2>
In case of no use of followings pins, how does it should treat?
11 pin：VOL/MICDET- floating?
13pin：AIN1 - connection to GND?
14pin：AIN2 - connection to GND?

Hi Hirotaka,

Q1: AVDD is required for the part to work as it is the analog supply voltage for most of the analog internals. HPVDD is the headphone output supply, and so unless you want to use the headphone output then HPVDD does not need to be supplied.

Q2: The volume control pin is not enabled by default so it can be left floating. If AIN1 and AIN2 are not to be used they can be disabled in Page 1 register 35, and then can be left floating.

Hi Hirotaka,

I apologize but I was mistaken with my answer to Q1, HPVDD must be connected to a supply at all times, with a minimum of 2.7 V. The only time SPKVDD, AVDD, or HPVDD can be grounded is if the data sheet specifically states it.
