AIC3105EVM windows GUI fails

Hi,

I can't success to run Windows AIC3105EVM GUI.

I have tested GUI on 3 PC:  2 running Win7 32 bits, and 1 with WinXP SP3. I think that drivers are installed correctly since no error message found in windows / hardware setting (USB-MODEMV / NI found).

Jumpers are set correctly, regarding settings found in EVM datasheet.

When I launch the GUI, I first get a windows that ask which AIC I am using, I select AIC3105, then the GUI window opens and immediatly close. I have tried win Win7 to set WinXP SP2 and XP3 compatibility, but I still get the same result: GUI opens and then immediatly closes.

Is there any option to make the GUI work ?

Thanks.

  • Hello Nicolas,

Did you installed the GUI from the product folder on ti.com?, the version from the included CD could have some problems.

  • Hello Diego,

Thanks for the comment, in fact, it works now.

I use to "play" with the AIC3204 GUI that have in real time Reg values with comment (Status Flag, headset detection, Overflow, and so on). This feature is no more available in the AIC3105 ?

What about another "low cost" stereo in/out I2S audio converter that have the powerful Headset detection as the AIC3104/5.

I am refering to slaa454 headset detection for TLV32AIC310... Family. There are perhaps new audio converter with such features.

    Thanks, Nicolas
