Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PCM1748

Hello, all

Now we have one Inquiry regarding audio output signal on PCM1748 from our customer.

Please refer to the item below, and feedback us with your comment.

We are evaluating our trial model with this device.

The schematic of the trial is as below;

Also, the hardware and software configuration is as below;

fsclk: 2.048[MHz] (256fs)

fs: 8[kHz]

BCK: 256[kHz] (32fs)

LRCK: 8[kHz]

Audio data format: 16−Bit Right−Justified, BCK = 32fs

Mode Control Register:

0x1403(Audio data format control:FMT[2:0] =011, 16-bit standard format, right-justified data)

Others registers are as default

1) The input waveform of SCK pin is as below;

The actual input clock is observed as 2.041MHz

2) The input waveforms of each audio lines are as below; (input signal level is 0x8000.)

3) The output waveforms of audio line is as below; (input signal level is 0x8000.)

The above phenomenon causes data corruption on output audio data.

Please let us clarify how we could resolve this issue.

We thank you in advance for your information.

Best regards,

  • Hi Atsushi,

    Couple questions:
    1. Do you see the same output on VoutR?
    2. How does the I2S information going into the part look?
    3. Does this happen all the time or just some of the time?

  • Justin-san,

    Thank you for your prompt reply.

    With regard to your questions, please see my comment as below;

    1. Yes, we saw same output on VoutR.

    2. Please let us clarify how we could see I2S information into the part first.

    3. This phenomenon could continuously be found on this trial board for both VoutR and VoutL.

    If you need further information, please feel free to ask me.

    We thank you once again for your information.

    Best regards,
