In Slave Mode, the rise and fall times use BCLK as an input. In this case, if you're using a slower BCLK frequency, both rise and fall times can be relaxed. The reason of the MAX numbers specified in datasheet is that the BCLK used for caracterization was configured with a high frequency (In section 9.6 Timing Requirements: Audio Data Serial Interface of AIC3106 datasheet, see the note 1 at the end of Parameter's table).
There should be no problem if the rise and fall times reach the 10ns even with IOVDD = 1.8V.

Hi Chen,
There should be no risk if the rise and fall times are slowed. However, when you hold an input or output pin at mid-rail, the power consumption is increased a little.
