Control TLV320AIC3254 by TI PurePath

Hi team,

We know can use the two block (show below) to control (IN1_L & IN1_R) and (IN2_L & IN2_R).

What if we would like to control any pair of of INxR and INxL such as (IN1_L & IN2_R), (IN1_L & IN3_R).

Could you pleas let us know how to control any pair of INxR and INxL on the PurePath?

Hi, Prescott,

The miniDSP decimator blocks (such Dec4xIn_1) actually are connected to ADCs channels outputs. So, to use any pair of INxR and INxL, you must route these inputs to the ADC channel that you want to use. For example, if you want to use the pairs (IN1_L, IN2_R) & (IN1_L, IN3_R), you must route (IN1_L, IN_2R) to Left ADC and (IN1_L, IN3_R) to Right ADC.

Thanks for the reply.
What I would like to know is how do I implement it on PurePath. I could not find any setting on Dec4Xin_1 which could route the pairs to left/right ADC.

Hi, Prescott,

PurePath Studio is used to program the miniDSP algorithms. The pairs can only be routed by writing in registers by I2C or SPI. If you're using the EVM, the GUI can be used to program the registers in an easier way. Please take a look of the TLV320AIC3254 Application Reference Guide for details.

You can also edit the input routing directly in PurePath Studio as explained here: e2e.ti.com/.../2777.modifying-the-device-configuration-of-a-pps-process-flow
