PCM1794A and 176.4 kHz 16 or 24 bit not working

I have a circuit that is working completely fine at 44.1k, 48k, 96k and 192k, but for whatever reason it does not work 176.4kHz.

I am using the PCM179A in mono-aural hardware mode.

What can cause such behavior?

Hi Lenny,

If the device works at both 44.1 kHz and 48 kHz, that says that you have good sources for both base clocks. What are your clocks for the 192 kHz scenario and the 176.4 kHz scenario? Are you changing any settings on the PCM1794A between these two?

Justin,

In all cases the I2S is coming from a Cirrus (Formerly Wolfson) WM8804 SPDIF to I2S converter.

So the source is the same for all frequencies under question.

The PCM1794 device is not being reconfigured or powered down during the sampling rate changes.

Hi Lenny,

What are the individual clock rates for MCLK and BCK when LRCK is at 176.4 kHz? Does the data look normal?
