Hi folks!
I've recently purchased the PCM4222EVM board from Farnell.
It arrived a couple of days ago, in the original TI cardboard box and sealed in an antistatic plastic bag, with intact sealing sticker.
Yesterday, when in use, I noticed that the card was not working in I2S mode, while perfectly working in Left Justified.
I've tested it through ProTools card on a Mac and on the good old Fostex D5 DAT recorder,
same result, double checked the config switches, all seemed Okay,
after a couple of hard hours, I realised that the evm had some of the components not stuffed.
One of these unstuffed, was the RN13 array so that it was impossible to use the DIT 4192 configuration. It could never be set to HIGH position!
My question: can I get it changed? Was it a possible fake card?!?! The shipping was from the UK.
I'm attaching some pics, unstuffed components circled in red.
What are your thoughts? How am I supposed to act?
Thank you in advance,
Val
