I received a new EVM, initially able to load a script to the EEPROM. Everything worked fine until I loaded a program from PurePath Studio. Now I am unable to load the script to the EEPROM. I am reluctant to experiment to much for fear of killing the EVM completely. Has anybody solved this problem and can pass on some advice?

Hi, Tom,

Could you provide more information about this issue, please? When you loaded the program from PurePath Studio, did the program ask you to change the sampling frequency of the board? Additionally, is there a warning message when you try to load the script to the EEPROM?

Finally, have you tried this wiki article? (Step 16. Run "remove-miniEVM.exe" must be avoided since the EVM-U is a miniEVM).

Hi Luis
The script I am using is one you sent me that loops audio in to audio out. I can still load this script in on the command -line and it works perfect. When I loaded a PPS example program the system asked to change the sampling frequency and I agreed. When I attempt to load the EEPROM the LED light blinks but nothing is set up in the analog settings. I have not tried this WiKi article (Step 16. Run "remove-miniEVM.exe" ) I have learned not to experiment, it is to easy to kill the EVM. BTW what happens if you do use the article? I do not think I have a revival issue the EVM is still recognized and I can use the command-line to load the script.

Hi, Tom,

The article explains how to re-configure the TAS1020B. Also, it allows to change the sample rate from 8KHz to 48KHz. I mean, the EVM WCLK is reconfigured to the selected sampling rate. It is a way to "reset" the TAS1020B.

Hi Luis
I followed the instructions to reprogram the EEPROM to the right frequency (44100) and the EEPROM will not change from 16000 to 441000 when I follow the EEPROM programing steps, everything is OK except step 10: detatch call fails, I don't know how solve this problem.

Hi Luis
I have four of these EVM's. Three are dead and not recognized on startup, the one that boots up does not show up in device manager under USB controllers. I have accurately followed the revival steps with one initial problem, after shorting the SDA SCL pins I do not receive the new hardware found notice, and a Detach Failed alert at the end

Some time ago, you sent me a script for the AIC3254 that allowed audio in to be directed to audio out thru the DSP. Could you find that script and resend? A computer crash wiped it out

The only way to revive the TLV320AIC3254EVM-K or U is by the use of the procedure described in the wiki article below:

This procedure has good results on Windows 7.
