TLV320AIC3268 with PurePath for Anti-Pop / Clipping

Guys,

Can you suggest a good way to eliminate the popping that might occur when a microphone is connected and disconnected?

I am using PurePath to introduce a DRC2 and/or Fast Limiter to prevent this popping. It is certainly possible that we do not have the setting correct as I am new to the use of the DRC2 and Fast Limiter.

Can you recommend settings to limit these types of pops?  Also, we get the same kinds of popping when we say the word "Popping" loudly. It would be nice to attenuate these noises instead of letting the high amplitude to hit the gain stage and the speakers take a beating.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Phil
