Audio CODEC with Nvidia Tegra X1 via I2S

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLV320AIC3204

I was wondering if anyone here knows how to get a TLV320AIC3204 (or similar) audio CODEC working with Nvidia's TX1 kernel.  They have a custom ASoC machine driver, which needs to be modified to support any particular CODEC attached.  The kernel does come with a driver for this CODEC (tlv320aic32x4), which probably works just fine, but I haven't been able to figure out how to tweak the kernel to power the I2S bus.

For context, I've a thread going on Nvidia's forum: devtalk.nvidia.com/.../configure-tegra-asoc-driver-for-custom-hardware-with-ti-audio-codec

I have no experience working with audio CODECs of any kind, so expect dumb follow-up questions.  :-)

Unfortunately, we are not providing support to this kind of drivers. However, if you have any particular question or comment about the TLV320AIC32x4 (register configuration, schematic revision, features, etc.), we will be glad to help you.

    Thank you.
