PCM3070RHBEVM-K connect to other MCU host (no connection to PC)

When PCM3070RHBEVM-K is connected to a MCU host, there's no need to connect all the pins. You only need to ensure that pins related with the control and data transmission are connected from the EVM to the host. I mean, I2C and I2S pins should be connected to the MCU to get fully access to the PCM3070. Additionally, you would need to disable several pins of the SW2 in cases where I2S clocks and MCLK are generated by the MCU instead of the EVM.

can I use the GUI composer to make application to control PCM3070?
Could you tell how to do?

The TI MCU controls the streaming audio USB and also I2C. The GUI couldn't send data to the codec if the TI MCU is not used. You could use the GUI composer with other MCU, but the TI MCU shouldn't be removed from the EVM.

Could you tell the protocol used for communication between the PCM3070 and GUI?

We have a tool that can be used to get the coefficients for the biquad filters of our codecs. Please take a look at this link: www.ti.com/.../COEFFICIENT-CALC

Regarding your last question, the PCM3070RHBEVM-K communicates with the GUI via USB. The EVM has a TAS1020b that converts the USB stream to I2C and I2S.
