Asking for the AIC3110 PSRR power ripple sepc

Hi Team,
AIC3110 ripple on SPLVDD/SPRVDD(3.6V) = 200mVp-p at 1KHz,
Can you provide the spec of ripple voltage of SPLVDD if SPLVDD connects to 5V?
Customer measured the waveform of ripple voltage of SPLVDD at 5V, and the ripple is 208mVp-p at 1KHz. Is that ok?

Thanks,
SHH

  • Hi, Scott,

We don't recommend to have a high ripple at power supplies. Specially on the speaker power supplies. The speaker drivers are sensitive to power supplies changes. If possible, please decrease the ripple voltage.

In cases where the ripple cannot be decreased, the device can handle up to 200mVp-p at 1KHz for SPLVDD/SPRVDD with a PSRR of -44dB. If SPLVDD connects to 5V, the power supply rejection ratio will increase. So, there shouldn't be a problem if customer uses a 208mVp-p ripple. However, as I mentioned before, I would recommend to try to decrease this voltage to have a better performance.

    Best regards,
    Luis Fernando Rodríguez S.
