PCM5101A: Question of the PCM5101A's THD+N and SNR Measurement

Hi Sirs,

Would you pls advise if we can achieve the PCM5101A datasheet's specification by Audio Precision APX505 equipment?
With AP's 48kHz, 256fs I2S signal generator, We can achieve up to ~ -92dB THD+N and 98dB SNR (A-weighting) which is lower than the PCM5101A's specification:



Did the I2S source 1kHz, 0dBFS in datasheet's measurement?

    Hi, Wayne,

    The SNR and THD measurement in the datasheet is made with the conditions specified below the Electrical Characteristics table of the datasheet. Please make sure that the bandwidth of the measurement you are taking is from 20Hz to 20KHz, otherwise the SNR and THD+N will include out of band noise.
