SRC4382: unused pin, power sequence and timing spec

Part Number: SRC4382

Hi,

I received questions about SRC4382 from a customer.

Q1:
Is following unused terminal pin connection correct?
output: open
input: fixed to function disabled logic side (H/L).

Q2:
Is there on/off sequence of power supply as to 1.8V, 3.3V and RESET pin?

Q3:
Is there any timing specification of tf, td, tsu, thold and so on, excepting I2S, I2C and SPI?

Best regards,

Akio Ito

  • Hi, Ito-san,

    Please refer to below comments:

1- The unused inputs (RX) can be left floating, logic inputs should be connected as the end application demands.

2- There is no specific power sequence requirement, but in general we recommend to exit RESET state after all the power supplies are stable.

3- The only timing parameters that requires consideration are specified in the datasheet.

  • Hello, Diego-san,

I received an additional question about No.2 from the customer.
If only a power supply 1.8V or 3.3V is applied for a minute, does the device get any damage?

    Best regards,

    Akio Ito
  • Hi, Ito-san,

We have no test data for a situation like the one you are  describing, but based on the device's behavior, there might be no issue as long as the SRC is not operational (in reset state) until both power supplies are stable.
