PCM2704C: Volume max automatically when plug in Win7 system computer

Part Number: PCM2704C

Dear expert:

       Customer PCM2704C output volume will be push to max when plug in win7 system computer, the volume bar is not change. when we click the volume bar, the volume will be back in normal. 

     But it's work normal in WIN10 system computer, could you help to explain and find the root reason. thanks.

    Hi, Robin,

    This problem seems related to the way Windows is detecting the device as the volume is configured by the OS. This issue was noticed before, and the problem occurs only if the device is disconnected and connected very fast (<1s), what is an uncommon handling of the part. This was verified in the evaluation module. Could you please test this in customer's system with a longer reconnection time?.

    Hi, Robin,

    As mentioned before, this behavior seems related to the way the Windows version detects the device and the time it takes for the operating system to "save" the volume configuration of the device.
