PCM1865-Q1: Not getting data out with 1/128 bitclk to LRCK ratio in TDM4

Hi,

In TDM4 PCM1865 is only working in 1/256 bitclk to LRCK ratio, other than this ratio PCM1865 is not giving data out.

I need 1/128 Bitclk to LRCK ratio.

Please help me.

Hi, Vamsikrishna,

The PCM1865 operation in TDM mode only supports a BCLK with a frequency of 256×Fs, this is a fixed requirement for this device and cannot be changed. Operation with 128×Fs BCLK is not supported.

BCLK with a frequency of 256xFs mean codec is giving TDM8 clocks with 6 channel data and 2 channels empty because PCM1865 supports TDM6 only am I correct??

Hi, Vamsikrishna,

Correct, with 256×Fs Bit clock, the maximum number of channels in the TDM stream will be 8 for a 32-bit data size, or 10 for 24-bit data. PCM18654 can be configured to stream 2, 4 or 6 channels of data, and can share the TDM bus with another PCM1865 to fill all the available channels.
