PCM1863: Applications: knowledge / evidence that the PCM1863 works in instrumentation

Hi TI,

Quick question regarding the PCM1863 do you have any knowledge on use in instrument applications such as data acquisition systems i.e. is it ok to use in these type of applications? only mentions consumer product applications in the data sheet.

Hi, Nigel,

The PCM1863 is designed and optimized to operate as an audio ADC, but can be used in a non-audio application as long as the performance and operating mode is compliant with end-system requirements. We can only guarantee that the performance of the device will be as indicated in the datasheet if the device is operated under recommended conditions.
