PCM1862: Questions about the Energysense functionality of PCM1862

Part Number: PCM1862

Hi,

I have below questions about the Energysense functionality of PCM1862.

  1. Can PCM1862 detect all the input channels at same time?
  2. When PCM1862 is on and playing one input channel, can PCM1862 detect the audio signal of other channels at same time?

Could anyone please help on these questions?

Thank you.

Best regards,

Daniel

  • Hi, Daniel,

Welcome to E2E, Thanks for your interest in our products!.

The Energysense function can monitor the activity of all the channels in Sleep mode, cycling between them and triggering an interrupt whenever a signal is detected.

In active mode, energysense audio signal detection is not available on the inactive channels, the detection is working only in the active channel monitoring any signal loss. However, Controlsense function allows the detection of the DC level of a non active channel, but the data should be polled from the system host.
