TLV320AIC3104-Q1: Power on Reset

Part Number: TLV320AIC3104-Q1

Hi,

I think that registers are reset(Power on Reset) when power supply goes down.

What is the voltage when the reset is active?

Best Regards,

Kuramochi

  • Kuramochi,

This is not the recommended way to reset the device. After power up the reset pin should always be held low for at least 10ns to ensure proper function. See data sheet section 10.3.1.

  • Steve-san,

    Thank you for your reply.

    Information was lack.
Supposed application is automotive, so battery voltage can drop by cold crank.
I would like to know the voltage when the un intentional reset is active on this condition.

    Best Regards,
    Kuramochi
  • Kuramochi-san,

The recommended operating voltages are also in the data sheet (section 8.3). Should the digital core voltage fall below the recommended minimum the device may behave erratically or reset, If there is a droop in the supply voltage that would take it below these minimums, it is recommended that the device be reset, even if the droop does not trigger a reset by itself.
