    Jens Bauer Jens Bauer
Hi, I'm a 'newbie' in this area; currently developing hardware for (and software to control) a PCM1792A. A few questions arose in my mind. 1: Why is the DSD schematic different from the PCM schematic ? - isn't DSD just an input format? 2: What's the max. available sampling...

I agree as well. The S/N virtually eats up the extra 8 bits, but if using two DACs in monoaural mode, one could get a little closer. My guess is that the cool dudes behind the DACs are most likely working on something awesome right now. If not, I'd suggest that they make an 'easy enhancement'...

Hi, We are using the TLV320AIC3254 DAC for testing the wav file given. We sees the strange thing happening in the DAC input and the output side. BCLK = 3.072Mhz WCLK = 48KHz I2S Right justified 16 bit word Scenario 1: Input sample of 1KHz 16 bit - In output of the DAC we see the positive drip...

Hello, I have two questions, related to DSD1792/1794: 1) My application requires both PCM and DSD mode. It is not so clear from DS - should I mute DBCK/DSDL/DSDR when we operate in PCM mode, and to mute I2S signals when we operate in DSD mode? 2) it is written in DS (Fig 40) that in DSD...

    Robert Benedikt Robert Benedikt
In our design we only get 8 bit of valid data from PCM4204 . ADC has it´s own analog GND and supply plane. Capacitors have better ESR than those from PCM4204 EVAL Board and connections are short to the device. So where is our probblem... There is a detailed report and hardware documents in the...
