Please Advise on Longevity for Analog Parts

Hello,

There is a local customer that is looking to kick off a design with the following parts.  The product life cycle is estimated at 15 years starting in 2016.

How long is TI willing to produce the following parts?

PCM5102AQPWRQ1  "IC, DAC 2-CH Segment 32-bit, 20-Pin TSSOP "

CD4050BPW   "Buffer/Converter 6-CH Non-Inverting CMOS 16-Pin TSSOP "

TPS715A33DRBR "IC,REG, VOLT,LIN, 24Vin, 3.3Vout,-40+125, 3x3mmSON "

Thank you,

Adam

  • Hi Adam,

I think a business agreement would be the only way to guarantee a products lifetime. However, this is not my area of support (I provide applications support, but could point you to the right person if you'd like to inquire further).

Check out TI's Obsolescence Policy: Product Obsolescence Policy

The general policy across our product line and TI is a non-obsolescence policy.  This means we usually do not obsolete parts. If a product is not recommended for new designs, there will usually be a recommended alternative. TI is committed to the continuous supply of quality products and will notify customers in advance of product changes. (Refer to our quality page).

    Best Regards,
    Chris
