I have been having issues setting up and using the ADC evaluation kit, the ADS8638EVM. I am using windows 8 so that may be part of the problem, but after following the manual's instructions on setting up the board, installing ADCPro/EVM plugins, it still does not work. When connected through the USB port, the device manager recognizes it as an unknown device and once I click the ADS86XXEVM option in the EVM tab, the sequence is as follows:
Locating binary file
Reading binary file
USB Connection Established
No firmware found...Downloading
Download failed...reset the hardware.
Resetting the hardware has no effect, and then after a while it says, "the firmware load has failed due to a timeout condition." I am trying to use this kit to test out if the ADC will work with some sensors I will be utilizing in my project. Any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated.
