Hi,

I had a problem with the instalation of my ADS1299 in my Windwos XP computer.

First I downoaded the software from the official texas instrument website.

Then, I power the MMB0 and i connect the USB NI-VISA. My computer can´t recognise this type of Hardware and i can´t install a controller which could do it because windwos update its closed from 2014.

At the same time, ADS1299EEG is only supported by Windows XP (I read it on the demostration Kit)

Can I install the software in other SSOO or there´s any way in order to install the controllers for the drivers?

Hello Emilio,

Have you installed all the software you downloaded from the website before you plug in the device? If yes, can you send me a screenshot of the error you get when you plug it in?

Emilio,

You may have to manually install the driver in the Device Manager. You can find the correct driver in the software installation directory at "...\ADS1299EEG-FE\lib_1299\Styx\usbstyx_drivers".

Hi Brian,
I followed the steps as you told me ,and it does not work yet. I think the problem is Widows 7 or XP, doesnt have a microcontroller for the MMBO-VISA, because it does not have the digital sign.
Do you have other solution?

Do you have access to a Windows 7 machine to try this on? I know it says that Windows 7 is not supported, but I've used the EVM on a Windows 7 machine before.

Yes, I´ve tried with windows 7 and XP unsuccesfully.

Emilio,

Are you using distinct machines that are running XP and Win7 respectively? Or are you running the operating systems virtually on a machine that is running Windows 8 or 10?

Emilio,

I do not think I've ever seen this specific error. Try uninstalling everything and re-installing as an administrator. Otherwise, try installing with the your antivirus software deactivated (you will want to disconnect from the internet for this portion so no malicious software can be downloaded accidentally).

Brian,
There are two drivers that must be installed. First driver is installed(styxusb), second driver(MMB0-NI-VISA) in not installed because of the digital sign. windows 7 and xp doesnt arent capable of recognise this type of driver.
I uninstalling and installing a million times, so if you cant help me, i would like to speak with another employee

I have never seen this issue before. I apologize for the frustration, but I would kindly ask that you be patient while we worth through this issue.

Perhaps if you were to disable driver signature check, you could install the driver. I have seen this issue on Windows 8 and Windows 10, but never on previous versions of Windows (that is why I asked if you were running the OS virtually).
