ADS1256: ADS1256 power down and restart

Part Number: ADS1256

Hi,

Our customer who use the ADS1256 to appear this phenomenon, he  powered down ADS1256 and restart it, the output data is error, if the time between power down and up is 5s ~10s, the failure rate is higher, but when changed to 50s to restart again after power down, it is also appeared error again about tried 50 times. He test the input signal ,  reference voltage are all no problem, so could you please give me some advice?

Thank  you

Best regards

Kailyn

  • Hi Kailyn,

Can you possibly give a little more detail here? When you say that the "output data is error', what exactly do you mean? Is it a constant code? Is it the wrong code value (to high or to low)? If it is to high or low, what code do you get out for a given analog input? Screen shots of the communication lines and schematics would be helpful as well.
  • Thank you for your answer, and the question has been resolved, that is because the customer forgot pull down the CS signal when send self-calibration command.
