Kazu,

To help us trouble shoot this issue, what is the status of the 8 status LED's on the TSW14J56 just before you click on capture? These are labeled D1-D8.

It looks like you are operating the board well below 370MSPS. Have you tried operating at 370MSPS? There may be a bug in the FPGA configuration when operating well below the sampling rate.

Also, there is an error in the user's guide. You are correct that 'ADC16DX370EVM_222' is not available to select. The device to select in HSDC Pro is 'ADC16DX370_LMF_222'.

Has there been a resolution to this?  I also just started evaluating the same setup with ADC16DX370 and am getting the same error.  Interested to know what the fix for this was.

I just tried the EVM with HSDC Pro v3.0 at sampling rates from 370MSPS down to 200MSPS and did not encounter any data capture issues.

Here are some ideas for your issue:

- Are you properly configuring the LMK device and calibrating the ADC per the instructions in the User's Guide?

- Are you changing any of the JESD204 parameters such as L or K? Changes to these parameters require extra instructions to get the data capture to work.

- Is the ADC Output Data Rate in HSDC Pro set to the correct frequency to match the sampling rate of the ADC on the EVM?

I have also noted that when the ADC sample rate is set to 370M as in the example  you get the following message box:

Does require a this require a corresponding clock configuration change this is not covered in the documentation or is just the reset button of the FPGA.  Did not see clearly in the tabs where I could set this.

The customer fed back to me.

- The phenomenon has not changed and not resolved, though the sampling rate was set 200MSPS and some others.
- The status of LEDs on the TSW14J56;
    LED1 = Light
    LED2 = Blink
    LED3 = Light
    LED4 = Blink
    LED5 = Light
    LED6 = Off
    LED7 = Off
    LED8 = Light
    The status of LED(SYMC) on the ADC16DX370EVM = Off

I have a question. The customer asked me.
Why doesn’t the ADC16DX370EVM drop-down menu appear? Is this correct?

The message you are seeing there is only informational. It is not an error

The LEDs look OK except for LED3. When it is lit, that is an indication that the JESD204 core is requesting re-synchronization, therefore the link is not established.

What do you mean when you say "Why doesn’t the ADC16DX370EVM drop-down menu appear?" Which drop down menu are you referring to?

When the customer goes through the setup process, do they see the 'ADC16DX370' tab appear in HSDC Pro and do they configure the LMK device and calibrate the ADC as instructed in the user's guide?

Has the customer installed the Configuration GUI for the ADC16DX370EVM? If it is installed correctly, then the tab should appear after you select the 'ADC16DX370_LMF_222' device in HSDC Pro.'

I receive another question from the customer.
The LEDs status on the customer’s TSW14J56 is the following, as I mentioned before.
  LED1 = Light
  LED2 = Blink
  LED3 = Light
  LED4 = Blink
  LED5 = Light
  LED6 = Off
  LED7 = Off
  LED8 = Light
  - The status of LED(SYMC) on the ADC16DX370EVM = Off
These LEDs status are different from Table 1 in the ADC16DX370EVM User’s Guide.

WHen data is capturing OK, then the LEDs status should be

  LED1 = Does not matter
  LED2 = Blink
  LED3 = Off
  LED4 = Blink
  LED5 = Light
  LED6 = Off
  LED7 = Off
  LED8 = Light

If LED3 is still on, then the JESD204B link is not synchronized. LED1 does not matter, so it can be ON or OFF.

in follow up to my DDR time out issue,  changing out the TWS14J56 board fixed this issue.  I also tried the suspected defective TWS14J56 board with a DAC38J84, where were no software errors but it generated a garbage waveform.  Repeated the swap of the TWS14J56 board to confirm the issue.

1. ADC Output Data Rate = 150MHz set
   Come out the following error message. And cannot capture the data.

2. After that, Input clock frequency 150MHz no change and ADC Output Data Rate = 160MHz set
   Come out the following error message. However, he could capture the data.

Would above problems be TWS14J56 board issue?

I am using TSw14J56 withADS42JB69. I have the same problem. press capture didn't get anything except all "0". All the LEDs are right, except D3 is on, how do I synchronize it?

Have you used the configuration GUI to program the board and followed all the instructions in the User's Guide?

Please describe any configurations changes done to the board or registers programmed other than those described in the User's Guide.

We are moving away from running the config GUI from within HSDC pro for non-technical related considerations, so running the config GUI separately is the correct thing to do.

Will you please provide the other following information:

- What is your installed version of HSDC Pro?

- When did you purchase your EVM?
