TSW1400EVM

Dear Sir,

I has a problem need to be clarification.

I fed CSV and BIN files(made by Agilent scope) to the AP (High speed data converter Pro V3.0) and found the waveform displayed in the AP is not correct.

We would like to make sure the Ti’s format can be read by Matlab, So, can you provide demo files (CSV or BIN format, made by TI’s AP) for us?

Thanks.

  • Eason,

Attached is a test pattern used by HSDC Pro. This is a 25.1MHz tone sampled at 250MSPS, and contains 32K samples.

    Regards,

    Jim  single_tone_cmplx_32768_250MSPS__BW_25.1MHZ.zip

  • Also please do not use the .tsw suffice on the file.  This is reserved for encoded HSDC Pro specific files.

The file format is signed integer values from -32768 (min value) to +32767 (max value).  1 column represents 1 channel.

There should be a .csv example file located in the installation directory:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Texas Instruments\High Speed Data Converter Pro\Test Files

  • Dear Ken,

thanks for your prompt reply , and can you tell me how to change ADC sampling rate? I didn’t see this setting in HSDC tooling. Thanks.

  • Eason,

The ADC output data rate is controlled in the ADC tab if you are capturing data from an ADC EVM - it is located on the lower left portion of the HSDC Pro GUI.

For the DAC data rate, that is located in the DAC tab near the top center portion of the GUI.

You can change the values by clicking in the box and typing the value - keep in mind the value is samples per second (sps) - for example if the data rate is 200E6 samples per second, then you just enter 200M in the box.

    Ken.

  • Dear Ken,

I am using TSW1400EVM kit for our data capture and playback purpose.

but I found that what we need not only the TSW1400EVM but also a ADC/DAC module board to implement the DAQ function. Am I right?

    Thanks.
