How to remove TSW1266 Receiver's LO from the OUTPUT spectrum ?

hello,

we are unable to remove the LO frequency from the output spectrum.

Is there any pre-requisite settings in the TSW1266 GUI(like there are settings to remove the LO freq. in the TSW30SH84 GUI by fixing offset values of A and B in Digital settings tab) , so that the LO frequency component from the output spectrum can be removed.

Please find attached the output spectrum of the transmitter spectrum and the transceiver spectrum

Thanks and Regards

  • I am also interested in understanding how to remove LO leakage at receiver. I am able to remove I/Q imbalance and LO leakage at TX output as shown in above captured results shown in spectrum analyzer . But when this clean signal is given to TSW 1266 EVM, LO leakage is back.
Is there any setting in TSW1266 EVM to reduce LO leakage?
I could try to compensate from TX, but then I will be feeding some LO leakage to RX, which might saturate ADC fast, leading to less dynamic range of desired signal.

    Any suggestion is appreciated,
    Meenakshi
  • What is the frequency of the TX LO? In one plot you are centered at 2150 MHz. If that is the TX LO frequency then the spur in the FFT spectrum does not seem to correlate. --RJH
  • Tx LO is 2.15 GHz. Original signal generated was at 30 MHz IF. 30 MHz additional shift we have added via TX GUI, so final signal is coming at 2.21 GHz.
