ADC12J4000EVM's pair board

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADC12J4000EVM

Hi team,

My customer wants to evaluate ADC12J4000EVM using NI's test equipment as below. Could you kindly help check whether there's some conversion card that could convert the FMC connector to some connector that NI could support?

Thank you!

  • Hi Luke

I don't think there is a way to integrate it directly into the system that is shown above. Since the ADC uses the JESD204B high speed serial data interface it cannot be readily connected to that system.

The ADC12J4000EVM is used in conjunction with a JESD204B data capture board like the TSW14J56EVM. This EVM is controlled using TI's High Speed Data Converter Pro software running on a Windows PC. It is possible to capture data from LabView or other programs using the High Speed Data Converter Pro automation features. More information on the automation features is found in the following directories after HSDC Pro is installed:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Texas Instruments\High Speed Data Converter Pro\HSDCPro Automation DLL

C:\Program Files (x86)\Texas Instruments\High Speed Data Converter Pro\Automation Function APIs

If the NI test equipment uses, or is controlled by a Windows PC, then it should be possible to implement something that is functionally similar to that above.

    I hope this is helpful.

    Best regards,

    Jim B

  • Jim,

Customer heard TI DAC has such set-up board as below. Do you have any information on this board?

    Thank you!

  • Hi Luke
I'm looking into this further, and checking to see if any of my colleagues are familiar with this board.
