DAC3xJ84 Sampling Rate Questions

My customer is asking the following questions:

The SFDR @ 70MHz is listed as 78dBc (2.5GSPS) and 77dBc (1.6GSPS). If the sample rate was lower, would this trend continue? Is it possible to get better than 80dBc performance at 70MHz with a different sample rate?

I am not sure how much improvement that the customer might see. Can he improve this to > 80 dB’s @ 70 MHz?

Richard,

The performance is mostly limited by the DAC core (intrinsic noise) as oppose to sample rate. In theory, the higher the sample rate, the better the performance. Hence, I do not see potential improvement when lowering sampling rate.
